Station 8 is Modesto's Airport Fire Station. These personnel are
specialist in aircraft emergencies. Airport 8 holds 1500 gallons of
water, 200 gallons of foam, and 500lbs of dry chemical extinguishing agent.
What is incredible about
this rig is that it can be operated by just one Engineer, freeing ground crew
resources for multiple attacks. Personnel assigned here also maintain
the Department' s breathing apparatus.
