The Modesto Fire Department is proud of their own Engineer Andrew Lopez, named firefighter of the year. |

| Engineer Lopez was acknowledged for his work with the Fire Explorers. His dedication to Post 9-1-1 and the countless hours of dedication to these young adults won him the Modesto Fire Department Firefighter of the Year award and the Modesto Firefighter's Local 1289 Larry Granzella Award. Both of these awards were presented to him at the Union's annual banquet last February. In addition, Andrew was acknowledged by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 84 at their June 8th annual banquet. We congratulate Andrew Lopez for these well-deserved recognitions and are proud to call him one of our own. | ||||||||
