Modesto Redevelopment Agency

Redevelopment provides our community with the means to reverse deteriorating economic trends and remedy blight within a designated area by investing in development projects that would otherwise be economically unfeasible. The Modesto Redevelopment Agency has a number of Incentive Tools available to help them carry out their goals and objectives.

The Redevelopment Agency's authority extends over approximately 2,000 acres, as represented in the Project Area map. This target area encompasses the downtown Modesto area, east along Scenic Drive, west along Paradise Road and further west over to Carpenter Road and up to Modesto Junior College West Campus.
