Councilmember Janice Keating

Janice Keating was elected to the City Council in March 2002. She is a full-time homemaker and also owns a bookkeeping and tax-preparation business. Janice currently serves as Chair of the Economic Development Committee and is a member of the Audit Committee. Janice also serves on the California Tax Education Council, is a Neighborhood Watch block coordinator, and volunteers for the AARP tax program at the Senior Center each year.

Janice and her husband Tim have been married for 15 years. Tim is General Manager of a manufacturing firm in Manteca.  They have two children Colin and Meghan.

Councilmember Keating also volunteers as a youth soccer coach and baseball coach, and plays on an adult soccer team.
 
Janice graduated from Central Catholic High School and attended UC Santa Cruz where she majored in Chemistry.
