Computer Classes
The City of Modesto Parks, Recreation and Neighborhoods Department offers a variety of computer classes including: Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint and basic computer and internet instruction. All classes are for ages 16 and older and are held at the Maddux Youth Center, located at 615 Sierra Drive.
- Microsoft Access - Learn to design and maintain a database as well as create, edit and save data. Participants will receive a certificate upon completion. This class meets on Monday, May 12, and Wednesday, May 14, from 6-9 p.m. The registration fee is $35.
- Microsoft Excel - Learn to create, edit, save and print spreadsheets. This class meets on Monday, May 5, and Wednesday, May 7, from 6-9 p.m. The registration fee is $35.
- Microsoft PowerPoint - Learn to plan, organize, create, edit, save, print and present a professional slideshow. Participants will receive a certificate upon completion. This class meets on Saturday, May 3, from 9 a.m.-noon. The registration fee is $30.
- Computer Basics - Learn basic computer structure and processes such as file creation, saving, retrieving information and searching. This class meets on Thursday, May 8, from 9 a.m.-noon. The registration fee is $20.
- Internet - Learn how to write, send and receive email, documents and pictures. Search for information, save websites, download data, documents and pictures, shop, research and more! This class meets on Tuesday, May 6, from 9 a.m.-noon. The registration fee is $20.
