City Council Appoints Brad Hawn to Vice Mayor
The City of Modesto is pleased to announce the appointment of Councilmember Brad Hawn as Vice Mayor.
Hawn succeeds Will O’Bryant as Vice Mayor. The Vice Mayor serves as Mayor in the Mayor’s absence.
Elected into the City Council in November 2003, Vice Mayor Hawn is also the chair of the Finance Committee and is the vice chair of the Safety and Communities Committee. He also serves as a member of LAFCO and StanCOG.
Prior to his election, Hawn served as a founding member of the City’s Citizens Redevelopment Advisory Commission and Board of Zoning Adjustment. He is
currently the President of the Central California Art Association, a member of the Memorial Hospital Foundation and is an active member of First Baptist Church.
Hawn is a lifelong resident of Modesto. He is a structural engineer and has been in business in Modesto for 28 years. Hawn and his wife, Nancy, have been married for 30 years. They have
three children and one grandchild.
