  The primary focus of the Business Development Division is creating new jobs. This Division works to attract out-of-area businesses to Modesto. In addition, the Division encourages expansion of local businesses in Modesto.

  By addressing local business concerns and needs the Division keeps local businesses in Modesto and encourages business expansion.
    
• Business Park Development
  Business Parks are an essential component of Economic Development. The Division is currently assisting with the development of several new Business Parks in Modesto.

  Through selective marketing mediums, the Division promotes Modesto as a prime location for any business looking to relocate or expand.
    
• Redevelopment
  Redevelopment assists our community by reversing deteriorating economic trends and remedy blight by investing in development projects that would otherwise be economically unfeasible.
